So I want to make a normal city republic (county level not duchy so it won't be MR). I also want to grant it to a certain dynasty. Is there any method to ensure that all the characters who are elected to the city are from that dynasty? Maybe changing the succession law in the save file? Or setting an event so that on death the new city lord is the closest adult male of the previous ruler?

As it would be hereditary and not elected.
