In the previous versions, after you claim the Iron Throne by right of conquest (as Robb w/ ambitious trait — though I believe this isn't limited to him and anyone with the right casus belli can do this), three events fire that allows you to: 1.) try Joffrey and his family and choose who to execute, 2.) which kingsguard to remove/keep and 3.) return Ice back to Robb from Tywin's possession (exclusive to Robb). However, as of v1.9, none of the events I mentioned ever fire when I take the Iron Throne. I've started as Robb in the year 8300 so many times, trying to get the events to fire but sadly they never did. So I looked in the mod files.
I noticed that the events I mentioned is most likely caused by a problem in his casus belli (bid_for_independence_ACOK), which was changed from v1.8 and presumably v1.7 (this is the version I remember this bug not existing). This casus belli uses the script effect mega_war_rebel_leader_resolution_effect, which calls on the events mega_wars.86 and mega_wars.8698. Event mega_wars.86 lets you judge the emperor (Joffrey in this case) or his entire family (any relatives), or other courtiers you have beef with in your new court. This is '1.)' of the three events I mentioned that weren't triggering. The other event, mega_wars.8698, allows you to choose which kingsguards to remove/keep. This event is 'is_triggered_only' and the only thing that calls on it is the script effect mega_war_rebel_leader_resolution_effect. This is second of the three events I mentioned. Lastly, there does not seem to be any events that returns Ice back to Robb but his casus belli (bid_for_independence_ACOK) has a special outcome exclusive to him that allows the transfer of Ice, but it, too, is not working.
I am not entirely sure if the casus belli is the source of the bug. I just assumed this because the 2 events I mentioned is fired by the script effect used by the casus belli, plus the transference of ice is also caused by the same casus belli.
P.S.: I also would like to note that when I was locating the bug, I temporarily replaced the 'bid_for_independence_ACOK' block in the game files (located in zz_special_cb_types.txt) with the same block from in v1.8, and it successfully transferred Ice back to Robb after he takes the Iron Throne. So it seems like the casus belli is unable to transfer Ice in the new version but in v1.8 it can. In short, when I replaced the block with the one in the previous version, it only solved '3.)', and the other 2 events were still not fixed: they did not fire. I really hope this gets noticed and fixed. Being able to judge the entire family, remove treacherous kingsguard, and receive your ancestral sword after the war is very immersive, plus imo it's the most fitting events to fire when Robb usurps the throne.
