I have been noticing that Maesters all across the game are dueling characters constantly. I even had a game where the my son had become a kingsguard and killed 44 maesters in a matter of months and I was getting messages nonstop about it. I just was wondering if anyone else is seeing this?

I am having this as well. In my game maesters are basically running amok. They already butchered most of the Blackwood males, and I have to send for a new maester to the citadel every couple of years, because my maester dies in some duel. I wonder, if this has something to do with some maester society events. No idea, but I stopped playing for now, because the game was getting to absurd (also, I suppose that after a couple of centuries 1/3 of the Westeros families will be exterminated by the maester berserker guild

For example, recall how after the Battle of the Blackwater Mandon Moore tried to kill Tyrion, but Tyrion was saved after Archmaester Pycelle entered a berserker rage and knocked Ser Mandon into the water with his maester's mace. There's also the time very early in AGOT when maester Luwin used his maester's axe to kill the catspaw that tried to kill Bran. And who can forget when maester Cressen almost killed Melisandre in an epic duel of maester's bastard sword vs. fire magic, only to be poisoned just as he was about to deliver the finishing blow? The savage brutality of the maesters and their legendary combat prowess are some of my favorite parts of the novels.

You know, you actually made this issue sound pretty cool I could even imagine a playing a game like this, unfortunately since there is no way of stopping those murdermaesters, it stops being fun after a couple of years. I wonder, if this thing I found under events/maesters can have something to do with this murderfest? ####Kill Magic Person Mission #Ping event for mission character_event = { id = maester.90 hide_window = yes is_triggered_only = yes immediate = { FROM = { society_quest_event = { id = maester.91 } }
