Hello. I need some help with basic modding (and maybe some more complicated modding). If anyone could answer my questions I would be very grateful.
I want to essentially just create differently coloured versions of the main house CoA (example: House Targaryen but with blue flame, House Lannister with Stark colours, etc). I just don't know what the code means at all.
For example here is House Arryn:
178 = {
name="Arryn"
culture = valeman
coat_of_arms = {
template = 0
layer = {
texture = 6
texture_internal = 0
emblem = 0
color = 0
color = 0
color = 0
}
}
} If I want to give House Arryn the Stark colours what do I replace here? Do I change texture_internal to the Stark texture_internal? Do I change the colours? But all colours are 0 for the main houses so does it even have any effect?
I also want to make Harrenhall a command and directly under the Iron Throne from game start. Is that possible? How would I go about making it a command? I have changed lieges from the save file but I don't know how to make it a command.
Will there be any issues if I create dynasties with the same CoA as another? Will they retain the dynamic CoA ability if they have same CoA?
Can I create a High Lordship of Oldstones and have it be a dynamic CoA?
Thanks in advance.

Ok so a few things:
Preset COA (so Stark, Arryn, etc COA - basically any COA in canon) is unmoddable by the method you describe (which is why you can't change its colour in game for example) all that code in the entry you found is basically telling the game for the dynamic COA system to load a particular image from the flags file and not try to change it. If you want to add a new COA you essentially add it to a COA file in the ...gfx/coa folder, then go to the common/dynasties folder, and create a dynasty and tell that dynasty to use the COA you just added (so it needs to know which of the COA files to look in and which number along of COA it should use). Then making said COA dynamic takes a while and you need to ad a bunch of triggers and add the COA to the list, etc etc. Basically if you want to give House Arryn Stark colours you would have to do it yourself in GIMP or paint etc (as luck would have it I do actually already have it for something I'm working on for More Bloodlines)
No idea on commands, my understanding is they use a hidden building or something, no idea how to change this.
You can have as many dynasties as you want using the same COA (Arryn and Gulltown Arryn already do for instance) BUT you will need to set up new triggers etc for the new dynasties to actually use the COA (indeeed the dynamic COA is actually separate from COA itself, so if you gave the starks a targaryen COA for example the dynamic system would still show a wolf unless you also changed that).
You could create a high lordship of oldstones, as it's a high lordship it would use the dynamic COA system too.

Took a bit of digging for specifics, but in history/titles, the various military commands have a section where after X date they get the flag for military command assigned to them-in aegen's conquest if you choose KL it sets the flag via event for the city. As long as the title has the flag assigned it's a military command, so should be possible to either add it in via history or even make it dynamic via event by having the flag added and removed from the title as needed.
Just search military_command in the history folder to get a list of all the commands for more specific details.
