It's been brought to my attention that people think I'm gone or something along those lines. Not exactly true, I still put out some mods(Most Recent that's relevant to AGOT is 'Flash Point History') and keep (most of) my AGOT submods up to date, though have pulled back a bit to work on other stuff like working on mechanics for the Middle Earth Project, and most recently learning to mod Rimworld to hopefully bring Goshen(atleast its Creatures) to it and updating my own Goshen Sagas mod for ck2. You can still find my mods on my Steam Group and Reddit. You can also join my discord if you want to chat about stuff, mainly my mods or Goshen Sagas books/stories/developments as that's pretty much the only interesting stuff about me ><. I'm not clear on the Rainbow Weddings, can the AI do Red/Black/Purple weddings?

No. You plot to kill a king or emperor, neither of you being dothraki, and have 100% plot power. Then when they go to a wedding through agot's wedding system(getting either going_to_ball or host_ball_started character flags through that) the intrigues become useable and you can do red or purple, or if they have the bedding modifier you can do the black.

I'm curious, what was the reason for not allowing the AI to do it? Is it a lot more complicated? I'm a very amateurish modder but I was wondering what might happen if I removed those "ai = no" flags. Would adding trait requirements and ai_will_do decision modifiers be enough?

that would, after making the factor >0, but ai is hard to control, often requiring long periods of testing and fine tuning to make it act right, so I tend not to do that.

Well since you are still there perhaps you can find some time to update Unsavory's Retinues.
Also good luck with MiddleEarth Project, really want that mod to finally take off.

Not likely to take over other people's mods, not even able/willing to maintain all of my own.

Hey Lancelot. Sounds like the retinue mod's still functional, so that's good

It works fine. Although I think what most folks wanting updated mean, is that they want a content update. More retinues for more cultures, which is no likely to happen on my end any time soon.

Although I think what most folks wanting updated mean, is that they want a content update. Actually no. When I last tried it for 1.7.1 it didn't work. After I read these posts I tried it again and it works. No idea why. So thanks

Although I think what most folks wanting updated mean, is that they want a content update. Actually no. When I last tried it for 1.7.1 it didn't work. After I read these posts I tried it again and it works. No idea why. So thanks Don't want to overtly highjack a thread, but since Unsavory posted here and the retinue submod thread is on the old forums... I noticed your retinue submod has Qarth and Ghiscar retinues supposedly built in, but in game they do not appear. I also tried to add a single yi_ti retinue of my own, and that also did not appear in game. Redownloading the mod and running it alone, the Qartheeen and Ghiscari retinues are not fixed. I know you are not really modding anymore, but if you could take a quick look through your file and see if there's anything overt that a scrub like myself could be missing, I'd appreciate it. I find retinues to be one of my favorite parts of the game. Also, here is the code i used for the retinue I tried to make. uns_cataphracts =
{
first_type = 3
first_amount = 300
second_type = 6
second_amount = 200
special_troops = horse_archers
potential = {
is_nomadic = no
or = {
culture = yi_ti
culture = lengi
}
}
modifier = {
light_cavalry_morale = 0.4
horse_archers_offensive = 0.2
}
}
