Hello all, my first post here, so, i bought CK2 on a sale during new year, and i like it so far, i am mostly play with AGOT mod, and reading a lot of good AAR here, i would like to contribute
I post this AAR in paradox forum, but i think it is more suitable for this forum, since this forum is specific for AGOT mod.
the AAR will take place in AGOT Mod, Young Dragon conquest of Dorne bookmark, using historical narrative, pretend this AAR is an essay written by some maester in Westeros.
this will be a very short AAR, mainly because somehow the save file got corrupted, so there are only 3 years worth of story. critics are welcomed and i hope you guys enjoy it.

On The subjugation of Dorne, The Revolt of Iron Isle, and the Aftermath
It is known that Dorne is the only region in Westeros that was not subjugated during the War of Conquest. Many maester attributes this to the excellence of hit and run tactic employed by people of Dorne. They turned to ambush and raids, striking quickly and then slipping back into the desert or through the mountain passes, where even the dragons could not find them.
In 157 AC King Daeron Targayen, the First of his name, declare a war of conquest on the prince of Dorne. Even without dragon, the young king marches his host to the desert of Dorne. He is reportedly said, when his councilors, at first opposed him, informing their young king that he lacked the dragons, "You have a dragon. He stands before you". His advisors, however, quickly convinced of the success of the plan after the king revealed the plans he had made with Lord Alyn Velaryon.
Three hosts will be assembled. One will be led by Lord Lyonel Tyrell, who will march through the Prince's Pass, entering Dorne at the western end of the Red Mountains. Lord Alyn Velaryon led another by sea. Lastly, the king host, led by his best commander will move down the Boneway, using goat tracks. This strategy will prevent the eastern and western Dornish armies from giving one another aid in battle.
However when the King raises his banner and calls upon his Lord paramount, only two, Lord Paramount of the Reach, Lord Lyonel Tyrell, and Lord Paramount of Stormland, Lord Corwen Baratheon answered.
The war soon joined by Lord Paramount of Iron Isle, Lord Veron Greyjoy. however, the Kraken does not join on the side of the throne nor the side of the Sunspear, opting to declare their independence instead.
Alarmed by the turn of event and worried the rest of Lord Paramount will use this chance to revolt, King Daeron Targayen broke the long-standing tradition of house Targayen and High Valyrian nobles to mary brothers to sisters, offer betrothal of himself to Lady Jannia Tully, and his sister Princess Rhaena to Lord Mathin Lannister to ensure Lord Paramount of Riverland and Lord Paramount of Westerland loyalty.
Even though both Riverland and Westerland still refuse to join the war for Dorne, the betrothal ensure they will not use the chance when the crownland is defenseless to revolt.
The first battle in the war was not fought in the boneway or princepass, but rather in the kingwoods. King Daeron, send his spymaster to spread the news that his host already marches to the boneway to face the host of Dorne, while in truth they are camping in kingwoods, wait for the enemy to fall prey to the fake news. They need not wait long, for as soon as the news reaches the revolting Lord Paramount Greyjoy, he immediately sends his main host to assault Kinglanding.
Before the war, King Daeron, worried on possibilities of naval attack of Kinglanding, commission set of very large chains to blockade the entrance to Kinglanding port. The Ironborn, found the port blocked, opted to land in Kingswood from which they will launch an assault to the lightly garrisoned Kinglanding. However, they are ambushed by the entire crownland host as soon as they made the landing. The Ironborn fight fiercely, but in the end, their host is scattered in a battle that later known as Battle of Woodmere. Lord Alyn Velaryon, commander of the crown host give command to pursue the Ironborn and deny them chance to retreat to the sea, and only once the ironborn host completely decimated that Lord Alyn Velaryon give command to march to Dorne, while a host of Stormland already sailed to Iron Isle to laid siege to the Pyke.
