I didn't change anything in the martial system for dragons. If i remember correctly, an average-growing dragon's martial is supposed to be half of the dragon's age. So for an 80yo dragon, 40 would be about right. Martial is hardcoded to cap out at 107 so an average-growing dragon would have to be 214 before reaching max Martial. Awesome, Loving the mod so far. Last question for the moment, any chance of more dragon portraits to be added into the mod? currently not any major plans but possibly later on! |

I spent some time last night ripping out that encourage dragon taming targeted decision and tested it.
Characters seem to just automatically succeed. The character doesn't have to go through the vanilla taming event or anything. An available Dragon just immediately becomes tamed.
I'll try to tweak it to fire off the regular Dragon taming event. Definitely shouldn't be an instant success imo.

Definitely shouldn't be an instant success imo. by all means, tweak it however you like. I did it that way because in lore, the Targaryens never failed in taming a dragon. The dragonless Targaryens either 1) weren't allowed to tame a dragon (Saera & likely other Jaehaerys kids) 2) were too scared to tame one (Daella) 3) died too early to tame one or 4) had already tamed a dragon that died before the rider (Viserys I). Since they have a 100% success rate of attempts that lead to taming, it simply makes no sense to have AI characters go through the vanilla taming event chain. The more events that fire, the slower the game will go, so its adding unnecessary stress on the game. |

You do make a fair point about the Targaryens.. Still a very strong decision though. Maybe a year long cool down would make sense? Prevents spamming it.
Also could maybe add a few more traits to the NOR check. As it currently stands, you can make Vaegon become a Dragon Rider lol. I'm thinking the Maester traits, Scholarly education traits, Illness traits, Pregnancy traits, Slothful, Blinded, Stubborn, and maybe even Content.

Targaryens never failed but many of Dragonseeds did fail. Alyn tried and was burned, although he allegedly had the same blood as Addam.

Is Dragon of the East compatible? is likely conflicts as i assume the DotE chances the dragon_events file but i'll look into a compatch in the future As a Dragon of the East enjoyer: It'll likely be just easier to integrate parts of the mod into your mod. It has its own Dragon taming laws for the Valyrian Empire so that'll conflict.

Im not sure if its me, or the mod or even possible the game itself but whenever a dragon dies either from battle or from old age I dont seem to get the dragons skull, is there something Im doing wrong?

So im realy enjoying the mod so far one thing i noticed is that caraxes for some reason is alway dead when i start the rogue prince or dotd book mark and deamon still has the dragon rider trait
