Hey all! I'm posting this submod now because I'm at the point where I'm just tinkering at it & it would be better to put it out there for other people to test. Basically this submod is an improved marriage AI. It creates more marriages within cultures (which is more canon-friendly), while also cancelling lowborn marriages. I tried to get as close to canon as I could without weighing too heavy on a PC. Link: AGOT Speed Dating 1.4SD Valyrian Marriages 1.0(aragon99's request) Please tell me about any problems or performance issues and I will do my best to improve it. Entirely new files so won't be any conflicts with other submods. Also if anyone is interested in helping with this or any other submods lmk. Patch Notes: 1.1 - Adjusted matching for Northmen & Westerosi Valyrian. Also cleaned up the coding a bit
1.2 - Barons now have free reign to marry whoever.
- Events now only focus on Dynasties with Dynamic COAs (because canon houses are the main ones I care about not marrying lowborns + less events being fired)
- Added matcher event for Lord Paramounts to try and get their dynasties priority.
- Added Divorce Event for King tier Dynasties to prevent inter-marrying between them. This is only for starts before 230 AC (birth of Rickard Stark) so it shouldn't cause issues for Robert's Rebellion and onwards.
1.3 - Took out Ironborn from marrying into Iron Throne. You can still do it in your game, but the AI wont auto-match them.
- Finally found a way to exclude the player's dynasty from the match making
- Fixed a glitch where it would cancel some matches
1.4 - Stopped Valyrians from divorcing all their spouses if one doesn't match their requirements
- Included Jogos and Brindlemen into divorces

Honestly love this mod, because I remember it being canon that usually lords marry within their region. The only thing that’s kinda a struggle is the lower ranking houses or houses who don’t have a lot of options in their cultures like westerosi Valyrian such as house Celtigar but other than that amazing and adds a more canon element.

Hello, I don’t know if maybe I’m doing something wrong in my settings but for some reason the speed dating isn’t working for me. Do I have to disable the original ai marriage that comes with AGOT or?

Good mod, thanks. Great to see culture marriages happening.
The only problem is that baronies should be allowed to marry lowborns, otherwise they have a really hard time finding a spouse and their courts fill up with lowborn maids.

Hey looks like a cool mod! I was trying in my spare time to make it so characters of valyrian religion could only marry characters of a different faith if they have the syncretism with that faith group with not much success. Don't know if you like the idea or if it is feasible but it's something I think would add to the experience especially in the Aegon's Conquest start date.

I play before the conquest, where the kingdoms are separated (and they are empires) so the mod does not work correctly.
Since they don't marry dukes, they marry nobles created out of nothing.
