I play before the conquest, where the kingdoms are separated (and they are empires) so the mod does not work correctly. Since they don't marry dukes, they marry nobles created out of nothing. Hi! I posted an update, but not sure if it addresses your issue. I ran some test sims and didn't experience the issue you're having. The difference between kingdom and empire shouldn't cause any problems with the overall function of the mod. Its important to note, this doesn't replace the marriage system already in the game. The AI will still make its own decisions with marriages. The mod will divorce couples that dont make sense lore-wise, and also prioritize making lore-accurate matches so its not just constantly divorcing people (so nobody ever gets married). The only problem it would then have is a smaller dating pool. Ex: In the Iron Throne, Westerman have the option of dating Westerman, Riverlanders, Reachmen, and Kingslanders, while in the Kingdom of the Rock, they only have Westermen unless the kingdom expands. It still works, just less matches will be made, so the AI will make its own decisions.

Update 1.3 - Took out Ironborn from marrying into Iron Throne. You can still do it in your game, but the AI wont auto-match them.
- Finally found a way to exclude the player's dynasty from the match making
- Fixed a glitch where it would cancel some matches

Hey looks like a cool mod! I was trying in my spare time to make it so characters of valyrian religion could only marry characters of a different faith if they have the syncretism with that faith group with not much success. Don't know if you like the idea or if it is feasible but it's something I think would add to the experience especially in the Aegon's Conquest start date. aragon99 i think i made something that might do what you want. tweak it however you need. its separate from the main mod but link is in OP

Your new and refreshed mods made me play the game again, thanks for that.
I have an idea: If possible a King title could get the option for a wife from Lys which is pretty canon as they made everyone's heads turn.
Just a thing I thought when I saw this mod.

In the Aegon's Conquest bookmark, Deria Martell ends up being in a regular marriage a lot of the time, meaning the Martells lose Dorne when she dies. I'm not sure how much behind the scenes groundwork there is for cognatic succession. Otherwise nice mod, can instantly see a difference when it comes to the lowborns, at least on people high in the succession (lower down I still see them happening, e.g. secondary sons don't seem to divorce)
EDIT: Now I randomly get my Valyrian son/daughter couple constantly divorcing. Can't make them marry. I've identified the "remove at least some of the incest" event as problematic here. I just added a check for not Targ dynasty and it's fine now. Possibly all High Valyrians should be excluded?

I do actually have that included in Dragon's Peace! I didn't put it in this one, as I wanted this mod to basically be fully behind the scenes

I will definitely do something for the Martell situation. For second sons not divorcing, its because of how the marriage scoping works. And thats also a slight problem with your Valyrian issue. the Valyrian couples divorcing were not caused by that even unless these siblings had some other incest relation. It only targets parent-child, grandparent-grandchild marriages. Also, divorces may still happen for reasons outside of my mod. Could be from the base mod's "improved" marriage AI causing it.

Would you ever be interesting in restricting Brindled Men and Cone Head marriages? They seem to work their way into marriage with the other houses.

Update 1.4
- Stopped Valyrians from divorcing all their spouses if one doesn't match their requirements
- Included Jogos and Brindlemen into divorces
After trying to figure it out I found that the gross reason that siblings were divorcing was because the brother-husband was also trying to betroth himself to his daughter-niece & that triggered the divorce event for ALL spouses. gotta love this game

Is it impossible to marry the other great houses when using this mod? All the proposals are cancelled.
