Based on bahamuT and Lowborn's work. If you do not like the gfx for a specific culture (e.g. Ironborn) you can change it in the culture text file. There is a visual bug for ruins. Link: www.dropbox.com/s/u7thaafgeqs5dpp/AGOT%20Anime%20Portraits.rar?dl=0Discord account, you can direct message me in relation to the mod: Radu#2914 Important! Don't click on Nohai portraits and territory or the House of Dayne! It messes up portrait offset. This is a problem, I think, with the AGOT mod.Update 1 (23/05/2021): New Valyrian children portraits Update 2 (25/05/2021): Fixed mixed children Update 3 (02/10/2022): Fixed westerosi valyrians, andals have french gfx (I can't use the original agot gfx, I tried again today), improved valyrian gfx, got rid of the red overlay and now it should not conflict with other mods Update 4 (26/10/2022): Fixed dragon portraits, huge thanks to user sandcrawler. I now have some experience with portrait properties and I will attempt to fix priest portraits in future updates. Note 1 (02/10/2022): If the portraits do not show up, one way is to overwrite files of the agot folder with the anime fix folder contents, keep a copy of the originals Note 2 (02/10/2022): It now overrides only gfx files such as portraits, culture and interface and should not interfere with other mods or original agot mod Images: ![]()

FYI just some ideas You might want to upload screenshots in a higher resolution. I can barely make out anything. And for the various ethnicities and known characters you might want to make overview pictures like melius did for his mod. That way players can easily see whether they want to use this mod or not. Also be ready for the upcoming "Is it compatible with More Bloodlines" question.

PPS, I'm open to any possible solutions and problems so please do let me know if there's a way to fix this. For some reason it is not recognizing the pathing from the .mod file I think. My solution was to extract the "common", "events", "gfx" and "interface" into a folder named "anime_portrait_fix" in the mods folder and then extract the .mod file into the mod folder and change its text from: name="AGOT Anime Portraits for 3.3" archive="mod/anime_portrait_fix.rar" dependencies={A Game of Thrones} to: name="AGOT Anime Portraits for 3.3" archive="mod/anime_portrait_fix" picture="steam_icon.jpg" dependencies = { "A Game of Thrones" } That change made it work fine, the anime portraits show up. But it is bugged for me, with big red circles on the right side of the portraits and some floaty clothes. My theory it is the bug is caused by incompatibility with MB, but my laptop is kinda bad and takes too long to start the game, so I couldn't be bothered to enable and disable mods over and over to try and confirm that MB was the problem or to find the real problem behind it. If you manage to make the mod work and find what is causing the bug, I would appreciate if you replied here.

Anyone know why this mod would be conflicting with mods that change the map? I was under the impression that that only happened with other mods that changed the map.
Currently using Codd, Colonizable Valyria, Yi Ti Expanded, and More Bloodlines along with their compat patch.
Without the anime portraits mod, the combo of mods is fine but with it, it reverts back to the vanilla map without Valyria and the split King's Landing from More Bloodlines.

Sorry for not coming back, I left the mod as it were and I moved to other things. Now that I am revisiting the mod I think that I could try and sort out the problems. Would you mind sending me a message on discord? My username is Radu#2914. In fact, anyone can direct message me about the mod now.

If I remember correctly, some dornish and some ruins portraits were bugged, are there new ones now?

I have no idea why stone dornish portraits work now and the last time I used this mod there were no red overlays.

I'll try and get the original clothes and headgear to work this week. In the meantime if you have bugs please contact me on discord. Also I have updated it to version 3 yesterday and it should now work with other mods.

Hello, I'm an old player coming back because of the new show, I won't lie. Is there a way to bring back the extra colors for the Essosi cultures? I tried adding them to the interface/portraits_italian_early.gfx because the culture is now pointing to italiangfx but it didn't work. But now that I look, I think said file is not where it should be to overwrite the base one (shouldn't it be in interface/portraits/?). Anyways, if you can point me in the right direction, I'd be very grateful.

But now that I look, I think said file is not where it should be to overwrite the base one (shouldn't it be in interface/portraits/?). Anyways, if you can point me in the right direction, I'd be very grateful. Hello! First of all, unfortunately a lot of content has been lost due to the fact that the original anime portrait has files with a different structure than the agot mod. So the agot mod and the anime portraits are quite incompatible. The workaround that i made was that i used the anime portrait structure and threw out the original agot one. Also with the interface folder, yes there are copies of files for both .gfx and portrait properties. Deleting the copies breaks the portraits and only god knows why. I might address the issue some other time. Now secondly, you can copy, let's say, light_male folder which has light_male_base. You can change the color of the dds light_male_base to be more blueish, as an example, and then make a .gfx file like portrait_sprites.gfx where you define a culture gfx that uses the new base. I have linked my discord account in the header of this submod post. I would be happy to work with you to add the content that you find missing and it would probably be easier for me to explain over discord how the files work.
