I'm working on an AGOT alternate history submod where some of the characters are changed around, and I've noticed that some of the rulers get automatically generated children at game start. I'm not sure if it's a vanilla problem or part of AGOT. Could someone please point me to where in the files I can turn that off?

That game rule isn't available in AGOT and the associated event, GR.30, is not included in the game_rule_events.txt file in the AGOT mod. Is there another event that will do this?
Of note, the only families where I'm seeing randomly generated children already have children in my modded histories. I've already checked and made sure that I haven't accidentally assigned any extra children to those families. The generated children all have the long charIDs that start with 999, so I know they're generated at game start.

You should be able to bypass that generated characters for specific families by editing have_canon_family_trigger in 00_scripted_triggers.txt. Probably, it's the only clue I got from changelogs. But although I'm interested in how to disable generating families in this mod, I was not able to find it. The game rule that was supposed to do that isn't even in the file. It simply sucks to have all these generated nobodies with 0 base stats across the board.
