Hello, I'm a new member here, I want to first thank you so much for making an experience that I believe is actually amazing for the AWOIAF fans, I binge read the books and I found heaven with this mod while we wait for the last 2 books (he will finish them dammit, he WILL!)
That being said, I was wondering if you can make a few adjustments for the mod when it comes to the fear system, at this point it only makes your vassals less likely to ploy and to join factions against you, but I think it should also give them a modifier to keep on paying taxes, even if a bit less, as if you had a good relation with them. In addition to that they should be a lot more likely to give you their children as wards, my reasoning for this is based on the books of course, but also a the show... Remember:
"...I flayed him living, along with his wife and his brother, made his son watch"
"And?"
"The new Lord Cerwyn pays his taxes"
And also, I don't recall this one exactly as it's supposed to be, but in one of the books, I think while we're with Stannis, one of the hill clansmen, a lord if I recall correctly, says that they would send wards from time to time when asked from the Starks so that way they would be kept in line, it's family afterwards, and having a ward/hostage should also work as a deterrent for people to join factions, maybe plots not so much because those are supposed to be secret but if discovered, well, maybe a hard punishment? like pay me or see your ward die? maybe even more than that.
There's also this last scene from A dance with dragons where jaime has to arbitrate between the Blackwood's and the Bracken's, he does the exact same thing, he asks for a "ward" (obviously a hostage) who is supposed to be Lord's Blackwood's daughter, but he doesn't want to let her go so he offers one of his sons, a thin lanky scholar guy, nevertheless a hostage is still a hostage.
Finally I was really hoping someone could make a real Education guide for the mod in regards to conclave DLC, I know how it works in vanilla but here... I've never managed to make my heir shrewd even though I have him educated by patient people, and I've saved/reloaded countless times to see if it could happen at all, makes me believe that you made changes in regards to what traits do what, so I was really REALLY hoping you could help me there, I know it's not really RPG oriented but I like to powergame a bit too... and most of my children end up with horrible traits.
Lastly, I was also hoping you could provide us with a guide for the council positions and what traits would be the most beneficial, for example, I've noticed that a maester/master-at-arms will have a higher chance of success in regards to educating/training children when they have traits like patient/diligent and some other like wroth/sloth turn that chance to worse, it's quite obvious when you think about it, yes, but an in depth guide would still be wonderful.
Thank you again for all your hard work.
