Hello all,
While playing AGOT 2.1, i struggled with 2 issues:
1.) very often pictures of characters are not shown properly, especially in the search person menu. Either the pic shows a wall, or the picture is shown shifted out of the circle or the picture is shown oversized or there is a blank circle. In all 4 cases, it's not possible to interact with the picture via right-click. Restarting the game helps for a short time, but very soon the pics are off again. This is really annoying e.g. if you want to search female unmarried women of your religion group as potential breeders (Ok, this sounds so sexist, but the game mechanics support this way of thinking about women...). If you can't interact with them via the picture, you have to find out, where they are and try to find them at that court; and even then often they don't have a picture. Sometimes it's possible to work your way around it by interacting with their parents or lieges, but often there's no possibility. I hope someone can figure out if this is a common problem or if that's an individual problem and if there's a way to fix it.
2.) In an enatic society (only women can inherit/gain landed titles) you get prestige malus for unlanded sons, although you can't even give them titles. It should be a prestige malus for unlanded daughters then. Ok, this one is not a MAJOR issue, but still...
Thanks!

1) Are you using any submods, or have in the past on a recent install? Also, what version of CK2 are you using and are you using Steam, installer, or the zipped files?

Hi - awesome mod, absolutely love it - but i've experienced this bug multiple times. I've got no sub mods at all, about to reinstall the mod to see if that helps, but multiple games i've had to stop due to this bug. It doesn't appear for quite awhile at the start of the game then as the dynasty grows, and particularly once you achieve emperor tier, then it seems to effect more and more characters around the game world.
Really frustrating and not been able to find any solutions. Using up to date versions of everything
cheers

If this is the bug that I was having, it's caused by Jogos Nhai child portraits. You open the search and scroll by one, but because there is no portrait set for them it bugs everything out until you resign and load up a save.
Seems to happen if you don't have Mongol portraits installed. If you go to Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod\A Game of Thrones\interface\portraits and open the portait_sprites.gfx file and scroll down to the Jogos Nhai child portraits, this is what you see:
spriteType = {
name = "PORTRAIT_jogosgfx_child_male"
#texturefile = "gfx\\characters\\default_son_jogos.tga"
texturefile = "gfx\\characters\\default_son_mongol.tga"
noOfFrames = 1
norefcount = yes
can_be_lowres = yes
}
spriteType = {
name = "PORTRAIT_jogosgfx_child_female"
#texturefile = "gfx\\characters\\default_daughter_jogos.tga"
texturefile = "gfx\\characters\\default_daughter_mongol.tga"
noOfFrames = 1
norefcount = yes
can_be_lowres = yes
}
This tells the game to use the Mongolian child portraits for these characters, and if you don't have that pack you're SOL unless you either buy it... or make a really quick change.
spriteType = {
name = "PORTRAIT_jogosgfx_child_male"
texturefile = "gfx\\characters\\default_son_jogos.tga"
#texturefile = "gfx\\characters\\default_son_mongol.tga"
noOfFrames = 1
norefcount = yes
can_be_lowres = yes
}
spriteType = {
name = "PORTRAIT_jogosgfx_child_female"
texturefile = "gfx\\characters\\default_daughter_jogos.tga"
#texturefile = "gfx\\characters\\default_daughter_mongol.tga"
noOfFrames = 1
norefcount = yes
can_be_lowres = yes
}
Just move the # under both male and female from being in front of the first texture file line to the second, which tells the game to load the proper portraits and fixes the issue.
I dealt with this bug myself for ages with no idea why until I happened to find a fix on Reddit earlier today.

Hero, Just added the ultimate facepack pack or whatever it is and worked an absolute charm.
Really appreciate it!

Good stuff, I was gonna do the same but the fix was pretty simple and I didn't feel like getting the extra portraits myself. heronimo @azrael in case you guys haven't seen this.
