I think it would be nice as a non Valyrian-Religion character of a Valyrian culture to have the ability to find a spouse (for yourself or someone in the same culture group) from the Patrician families of Volantis. Why? Well 1. it's canonical, but more importantly this will allow a player who wants to maintain the Valyrian aesthetics in their family to have a wider pool of possible spouses if their would be otherwise no suitable spouses. Eg. Rhaegar had no sister or other Targaryen relative of age to marry (or Velaryon that we know of), so to preserve the Valyrian bloodline Aerys had Steffon try and find a bride from the families of Volantis.
How this would work: Well I'm open to ideas but one I had was that a landed character of Valyrian culture but not of the Valyrian religion could right click on a leader of one of the families of Volantis and have an option to try and arrange a marriage. Likelihood of success is based on who you're proposing to wed (eg. your heir is more acceptable than a distant relative, and characters with good genetic traits are a benefit too), your rank/power and the traits of the Patrician.
So if they were zealous they'll never accept a marriage. If they're ambitious & you're of a high rank (like ruling The Seven Kingdoms) they'll be more agreeable if they can get an alliance out of it. If they're greedy they might like you to sweeten the deal. Which would mean if you were marrying a female relative of theirs paying them more than you could get from the dowry, or paying them something and forfeiting a now redundant dowry altogether).
A different way to do it could be to send someone (as Aerys did) to find a bride, giving them instructions to your preferences in an event Eg.
1. I want them to have good stats.
2. I want them to have positive traits.
3.I want them to have good genetics.
- whatever.
If they find a suitable candidate (or candidates, maybe max 3 or 4) and a receptive Patrician (or Patricians) they'll present them to you and you can choose which one you want, or say no to them all.
