So there is an ancient riverlands hero called Artos the Strong mentioned in WOIAF, he seems to be in the mod as a member of House Mudd who rules the Trident. Admittedly we know next to nothing about him, (all we get is "Thus, whilst singers and storytellers may regale us with colorful tales of Artos the Strong, Florian the Fool, Nine-Finger Jack, Sharra the Witch Queen, and the Green King of the Gods Eye, the very existence of such personages must be questioned by the serious scholar") and the name Artos seems to be first Mannish (Artos Stark, Artos Flint etc etc) but at no point are we told he is a Mudd, and given his nickname he would probably work better as a founder/early member of House Strong, who are also an ancient family of First Man descent. I'm not saying he definitely has to be a Strong, but if he is going to be tied in to an existing dynasty the Strongs probably link up slightly more.

A bastard Mudd that gets his own house, perhaps?

A bastard Mudd that gets his own house, perhaps? The thing is there’s no indication he’s even a Mudd

There's no indication that he's a member of house Strong, either. Simply having that nickname, which is about as generic a nickname can be, means little to nothing.

Yeah to be sure, all I’m saying is there’s even less cause to assume he’s a Mudd and given that the Devs have already done some guesswork on ancient characters (ie they’ve made the Hammer of the Hills founder of House Waynwood on the basis that he fought a battle against Robar Royce near Ironoaks) and given the nickname and the lack of connection to House Mudd he might as well be a strong, I’m not saying he has to be, but him being a Mudd currently has 0 lore basis and him being a Strong at least has the fact that he has the nickname and we know the Strongs are an ancient first man house - the mods can make him a Nutt or a Bracken or whatever if they want haha, just thought it was an interesting suggestion

It could be similar to the Northern Clan terminology and not actually be a nickname but more so a Clan title. "The Strong", "The Wull", "The Norrey"?
