So in the books marrying bastard is typically not done by noblemen and women. Even a LP's bastard doesn't really have good marriage prospects. Daemon Blackfyre, arguably the most priveleged bastard Westeros has ever seen had to marry outside Westeros and we are not told of any lords who tried to wed their daughters to him (which, given the rumours that he might be declared Aegon IV's heir, is saying something). However in the game we regularly see great lords and kings marry bastards. Case in point the sand snakes who usually marry Willas, Renly, Hoster, etc. So to stop that from happening I was wondering if it was possible to make the bastard trait itself a debuff to marriage AI, like how the sickly traits are. It shouldn't be too high, able to be counteracted the higher the rank of the title the bastard owns. The downside is that this affects the marriage AI in Essos too where they do not appear to care as much. If possible the debuff should be tied to culture (Andal and Northman cultures care, Wildlings don't - Dornish care too because although they are more open to sexual infidelity bastards are still not fit consorts for Lords as evidenced by Oberyn not wedding Ellaria Sand)
As for noble-commoner marriage that should almost never happen. The only exceptions are poor lords marrying merchants to obtain money but even that I feel should be done by decision and only available to baron, count, and duke rank nobles. There is a submod which does this and it is great. LPs and Kings should absolutely not marry commoners. Additionally, marrying a commoner should give a modifier 'child/grandchild of commoner' similar to child of incest. The Westerlings married a merchant 2 generations ago and are still looked down upon so this modifier simulates that.
Thoughts?
