I haven't yet updated the alternate portrait files so I haven't included the readme in the current download. That's also why there are no alternate version shown on the front page. If you'd like to use the alternate portrait files just replace the one in the AGOT Better Faces\interface\portraits folder with the one you want from the ALTERNATE folder, but I can't promise they'll work properly.

I just realised the description is a little confusing, if you wanted to use the frankish based version you just need to install that as it's own separate mod.

There's a few new layers added to the portrait.gfx files so I don't think they'll work. Also the new portraits are a bit smaller than the older ones, so the hairs don't fit as well and the beards will be a bit off on other portrait bases. The western slavic beards, for example, don't fit the english faces well at all without being moved in gimp so, naturally, the un-updated alternate files will be a tad off.

I've been working on the Asshai'i/Shadowlander portraits, I'm currently torn between using persian with roman eyes or south slavic with roman eyes, so I thought I'd ask on here which people prefered. Also if you have any suggestions for other portraits to use instead feel free to post them.
The top row are using the persian portraits as a base, the bottom are using south slavic portraits; both are using roman eyes and the new muslim hair.

Hey Tubbs, I'm not sure if this is a problem with Better Faces or CO, but when I patched them up and played ck2, the Valyrians have their vanilla portraits instead of BF portraits. It seems to be only Valyrians. Granted I've only tried in Aegon's Conquest rn, let me try a different time period and see if they're still vanilla or not.
EDIT: It's not just Aegon's Conquest. It seems as if the Dornish and Valyrian portraits are reverting back to vanilla for some reason.

The first thing you should check is whether there is a portraits_valyrian.gfx in AGOT Congential Overhaul\interface\portraits, if there is delete it. If there isn't check the same file exists in AGOT Better Faces\interface\portraits, if there isn't one redownload the mod and copy the file from the archive into it's correct location in the mod folder.

I quite like the persian base and roman eyes personally. It's different, and sets them apart from the dornish that use South slavic. They do live a world apart, after all.

They have the exact same set of eye colours as they do in the base mod, so they should have purple eyes.
