I've managed to get it to work with a not so elegant solution. What I did was create a new folder (I called it AGOT val) copy paste first the content from the main AGOT mod into the folder, and then the content from submod you want to play, into the same folder overwriting conflicting files, followed by making a copy of the regular A Game Of Thrones.mod(.mod) file and editing it slightly (name="AGOT val" and archive="mod/AGOT val"). It works on my end, atleast for the Valyrian Freehold submod. So I'm guessing it could be Steam Workshop that is part of the issue. Did something similar, and that fixed the CTD upon loading with these submods.

Will you guys have a manual nonsteam download? I hate using the steam workshop if I don't have to. Very excited for these sub mods!

There are some inaccuracies, i.e. a Teague rebuilding Harrenhal after it was burned hundreds of years after.. Or proclaiming a kingdom of Westeros? Doesnt make much sense... Its going to need a patch or 2, to fix the inaccuracies and workshop bugs.

Ok, so if you have manual version of AGOT. You have to go to Document/Paradox Interactive/CK2/mod then go to each one of the submods zip files and delete descriptor and steam_icon.jpg. Then go to the submod .mod file and remove all the text after dependencies={A Game of Thrones}. Now for the dependencies={A Game of Thrones} You want to make it look like this dependencies={ "A Game of Thrones" }.

Any chance for a .zipped version of these? I try to minimize my interaction with steams horrible platform to as little as possible.

Any advice ?

Sorry, its under the crusader kings2/mod folder it will be right under the above the zip with the same name Wait what ? So there is a Zipped file with the descriptor and steam icon, AND another file with the " .mod " only ? The zip i downloaded contains : -commons -gfx -history -localisation -map -descriptor.mod -steam8icon.jpg In my mod folder i also have : A game of thrones.mod But outside my mod folder in : "Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings 2/ " I don't have any other " .mod " Sorry i don't understand, it used to be so simple to download submods, dunno why we need to fix steam trash workshop.

Any chance for a .zipped version of these? I try to minimize my interaction with steams horrible platform to as little as possible. I believe the plan at the moment is that they will all be released together with the next version of the main mod so there will likely be a zipped version at that time.

Wouldnt it be better if you put all these submods in the main version ? so we dont need them to download separaretly? anyway great work.i will try out these submods as soon as possible :-) That's not possible with the method that was used to create them. Also having 1800 years of character/title history would likely cause the same sort of issues that happen in really long save game when the database is too full.
