The only historical characters I edited are all dwarves. I didn't touch Cersei.

This occurs b/c the base mod's "fair" trait ID (no levels of attractiveness, just this one trait) correlates to the lowest of 3 attractiveness "tiers" in Congenital Overhaul. If it really bothers you about historical characters, just console "remove_trait fair" and then either "add_trait fair_1" (second tier of attractiveness in CO) or "add_trait fair_2" (most attractive possible in CO). Same goes for things like quick or genius, and many other heritable traits; historical characters will generally have the lowest tier b/c their files weren't edited, but new generated characters will be fully diversified.

Congenital overhaul is causing the portraits to shift the left, any idea what could be causing that?

Installation Issue: Not removing previous version of Congenital Overhaul.
Mod Conflict: Another mod is overwriting Congenital Overhaul interface files.
Download Error: File was corrupted in download

so... VERSION 1.6.1 has been released. Download link on front page. Special thanks to erbkaiser. He did almost all the work, and is basically the reason for the update. I was just planning on skipping this release. NEW FEATURESCROWNS 12 New crowns that can appear into the game. If you're Durrandon/Baratheon, Reyne/Lannister, Tully, Arryn, Dayne, Tarth, Tyrell, Frey, Hightower or any of their cadet dynasties and you are allowed to wear a crown, at some point the crown will be added to your artifacts window and you can equip them. The notification is silent (Doesn't notify you lol) but it will show up within at least a couple years. My testing was having it show up about 6 months in. In the case of the Durrandon/Baratheons who have 3 crowns... When you've randomly received one of the three, that character won't recieve any more. If no Durrandon/Baratheons other than yourself gain a title that can wear a king, when you die your heir will be able to gain the next one (and their heir will gain the third). Same applies to Reyne/Lannister crowns. These crowns ALL have portrait graphics that go with them, and so equiping them on the artifact panel WILL put those crowns on your character (This unfortunately does not survive death which also effects the vanilla artifact crowns... Contemplating a means for fixing it. Maybe see if there is a scope to check the active artifact on death and grant a specific trait.. Then setup traits for all the crowns that will assign if that character dies?) DAGGERS Valyrian Daggers are now added into the game! There is one generic, 10 reforgable, and 1 special (Littlefinger's Dagger that is exclusive). They inherit/transfer just like normal artifacts... Also I've set it up so that there are about 50 daggers that spawn in at the start of a game to random rulers... So yay! If you want one and don't get it, just open the console and type "add_artifact valyrian_dagger". There is a new decision with basic functions to reforge the generic into one of the 10 reforgable/unique ones. None of the whole blacksmith/possibility theft setup, it's a very basic event. But I think that's okay for a dagger. There are also brand new Obsidian Daggers, which also spawn randomly at the start of a game. They are not reforgable/forgable at the moment. Possibility of adding them to boosting duel success rates against Whitewalkers AND/OR adding certain provinces which could allow the creation of these? SEIZE DRAGON EGGS So that thing I setup over in that Egg Management thread.. I decided it was a pretty good idea so it's included in this. There is a new targetted decision that allows you to take dragon eggs from your non ruler courtiers. IF you notice any bugs, please report them here. I have NOT looked at the official submods yet, so I don't know if they need compbat patches. The COPPER submod is still fully compatible with the latest version of AGOT.

Why is this not just part of the main mod, honestly? The features this mod adds are such amazing QoL additions that it's actually almost necessary for me to have it now. +rep man

Hey, can I only use the new Valyrian swords and the newly added crowns? I am currently running another portrait mod which I like better and I don't like new traits either because of the fact that the history files aren't edited. Thanks for your mod though!

So I'm getting an error message whenever I try to open the mod after it finishes downloading. I've downloaded several other mods and they all seem fine, so it's only this one that's being difficult. I've tried downloading it through other browsers and it gives me the same message.
The message says: The Archive is either in unknown format or damaged
P.S. Great work on this and the interface mod, they both add so much to the game!

@ilikeyourmodmate: EDIT: sorry I totally skipped the part where you said "Crowns". Because of the nature of how the crowns work, it basically makes them incompatible with any other portrait modifying mod. A patch would be needed.
@halpme: Just downloaded and was able to unpack with no issue. What software are you using? I'm using winRAR (it's also a .rar)

I use WinRAR as well, turns out that I was using an old version of the program. Updating to the newest version of it solved the problem and now it works like a charm
