UPDATED link on first page Version 1.8 is out. Improved Genetics is not in the mod YET. It's definitely coming, just read up a couple posts. But it's definitely gonna be replacing the inheritance method currently in use. Will need to have an update when it's all ready. If you find any bugs, please post them on here (Not in the bug section on the forums... unless it's a vanilla bug, then I don't care! ) I fixed the ghiscari/dothraki ear on forehead bug. Ran like a 2-3 month test to check to make sure stuff doesn't crash. Now I can finish playing red dead redemption! I haven't had any cowboy action in a week!

Is there any way to make this mod compatible with Tubbs' Better Faces?

The majority of the houses in the North in the Aegon's Conquest bookmark are hairless for me. No other submods active.

dkdodd52: Did you delete the old version first? Because I reduced the number of portrait interface files included from like 30+ to only like 4. Northerners and Wildlings all have hair for me. aegonisablackfyre: Yeah.. There are now only like 7 interface files and maybe 1 common/culture file PLUS any graphic stuff that are overlapped. The big one would be portrait_properties. A compatibility patch would be a piece of cake. Heck 3-4 of those 7 interface files I only included a copy of to squash the forehead ear bug. So really it's only like 3 interface files, portrait_properties and basically done. joca: Thankyas. The mouse population that he was carrying out a genocide against is probably celebrating.

How would one go about doing that? Making a patch for the two I mean.

The Northmen and Valemen are all bald.
When I hit ruler designer for the Northmen it crashed the game.

It's confirmed, if you do not delete the full previous mod folder, and just replace the files, it will cause these bugs. I just deleted it and re downloaded it from scratch, those bugs are gone.

ahutch12: Nice catch!!! I copied and modified all the event "pages" for them but I forgot the most absolute important part... well 2 parts actually. First part was setting the last "page" of the vanilla forging to turn to the first "page" of my stuff. So it's cycling back to page 1 instead. As for the second file.. I forgot to add one of the new tags to the valyrian sword artifacts. Just replace the two mentioned files with these (The file name is the link, but am showing you the exact location... Which I think am gonna do from now on for these bug fixes lol. Much simpler method to show. /common/artifacts/ congenital_valyrian_steel_artifacts.txt replacer... /events/ valyrian_steel_events.txt replacer... Did a quick test with those things fixed. Appear to be working perfectly. die55542: Yeppers. Should always delete the previous version because straggler files get left around that are no longer updated. For instance a good dozen event files didn't need updating this round which were last time because vanilla changed modifiers around and I didn't need to insert or replace any lines in the files anymore. aegonisablackfyre: I can do a merger tomorrow but today am done basically with worky stuff . Main things is figuring out what features you want. Do you want to use my hair files or his? Then it'd be deleting files from his or my graphic folders (hair specifically) that we are both pointing too. Then merging the portrait_properties taking into account whatever was done before.. I change p35 into crowns and add some lines for the extra hair graphics. Removing some portrait sprite lines to ensure that whichever one you chose doesn't get overwritten which could cause weird hair glitches of 2 hairstyles showing and neither on the proper spot...

hey, out of curiosity, why'd you ever remove the heterochromia eye graphics from the mod?

If you're up for tailoring it that'd be awesome! Can always do a normal release now (or at least in a few hours when the rest of the events are updated) and then provide an update later for improved genetics. I've released a version "a" a few times in the past to bring in new stuff that wasn't ready yet. Almost had to do that for the valyrian steal artifacts... Which I mean I think people maybe would've gotten a kick out of the badly made paint artifacts I would have included as placeholders lol. Vocal based stuff I've got a bit of an ambitious idea... So using the same allele voc_AABBCC (for example) on all. 6 alleles (30% for calm_voice) (15% for calm_voice_1) (5% for calm_voice_2), 5 alleles (20% for calm_voice), (5% for calm_voice_1) then jump to 1 allele (20% for stutter), (5% for stutter_1) and no allele (30% for stutter), (15% for stutter_1), (5% for stutter_2). If character has fair/fair_1/fair_2 then they can get melodious_voice. If character has strong/strong_1/strong_2 then they can get powerful_voice. If character has none of the fair/strong then they can get calm_voice. Maybe tie stutter or lisp into the intelligence based traits (slow/slow_1/imbecile/imbecile_1)... And if a character has "mute" then they have a 0% chance of any voice traits. Does stutter have anything to do with voice? I'm not sure about that (same with lisp.) I'm sure it has nothing to do with slow or imbeciles, though. The average stutterer has been found to have higher IQ than the non-stutterer. But yes, I think we can spin calm voice, powerful voice, melodious voice together and with strength and fair. Might need to add a fourth allele pair for it to work well.

crimson7: Well less to do with voice and more to do with speech (stutter) and pronunciation (lisp). I wasn't sure of a good way to differentiate between the 2. A fourth allele pair might be a better solution for a fix then as a way to split. All 5 being tied together if at all possible would be best I think. aegonisablackfyre: In /gfx/characters/ delete all folders EXCEPT /shared/ Inside the file /interface/portraits/portrait_sprites_CO.gfx Remove all text EXCEPT # hair, mouth, chin, nose, eyes, cheek, ear, neck spriteTypes = { ############################## spriteType = { name = "GFX_character_special_scepters" texturefile = "gfx\\characters\\shared\\congenital_artifact_headgear.dds" noOfFrames = 13 norefcount = yes can_be_lowres = yes } } Within /interface/portrait_properties.txt copy # p36 Special Scepters from mine and replace the p36 section of Tubbs entirely. His is pounded #### off so it's not in use. Then delete the portrait_properties.txt from Congenital Overhaul. delete the cultural based /interface/ and /interface/portraits/portraits_.gfx files portraits_dornish.gfx portraits_dothraki.gfx portraits_freefolk.gfx portraits_ghiscari.gfx portraits_shadowlander.gfx portraits_valyrian.gfx portraits_summer.gfx Delete /common/cultures/ folder. That should do it. You'll be using Tubbs portraits BUT with the added bonus of still using CO with access to CO portrait crowns.
