when YI TI goes into mega war the council if it has any king tier vassals gain a negative opinion modifier being fired from council. After the war ends they are not re-appointed to their positions.

Are you using version 1.6.1? This should be fixed in that version.

yes i am it doesn't seem to happen all the time yet still does some times, the last war was a colonisation war and it only placed one of the councillors back into their role, could it be if a councillor is at war with someone they cant be placed back as it still gives the negative modifier.
