Compatible with AGOT version 1.9.1 This mod will turn the Valyrian lands into ruins that you can colonize. It splits up the land in two kingdoms and several provinces, most of which can be colonized. The terrain of Valyria has also been made green, using the pre-doom terrain as a base, however the islands in the Smoking Sea are volcanic and cannot be colonized.
The kingdom of Valyria is an island nation: there is no land route to Essos. The Lands of the Long Summer are still connected to Essos.
Special events: - the Valyrian colonies are subject to the same effect as Mantarys, where people can be deformed or go mad.
- the Smoking Sea effects now also apply to the two straits surrounding Valyria
Thanks so much I was waiting for someone to make Valyria colonizable again in 1.6. I did notice the army pathing is off for several provinces (lordship of long summerway cant move there at all or recruit an army they appear in another province when you do and lordship of Yghos if you come from the north you take a looping path) like the official submods. One other thing I noticed is the high lordship of Port of Sigs has the lordship of Melior March listed however it is not on the map anywhere. I was wondering if you have any plans to add in some of the decisions from the outdated colonize valyria sub mod like reestablish the Valyrian religion or the one allowing you to make it a republic. Also is there any chance you could add an emperor tier title for if you control all 3 of the Valyrian kingdoms
I fixed Melior March, that was a silly mistake on my part. I wanted it in to give the duchy three provinces but for some reason the province refuses to work... but I forgot to fully remove it (it had one pixel left on the map. It's gone now.) This also fixed the weird loop in the trade routes Army positioning for Long Summer Way should also be fixed. Yghos should now also be fixed, but positioning and army routing in CK2 is weird.
At this point I don't plan on making any special decisions to restore the freehold. In my view it doesn't make much sense, since Valyria will remain ruined and even if recolonized it will be a shadow of its former glory.
Current version works with CoB in that it makes all provinces owned by random Essosi or High Valyrian characters. I've updated the mod to make it so Valyria's history files have the ruin a little earlier to make it compatible with CoB.
If you want to fix it yourself: Open this mod's history\characters\valyria-unoccupied.txt ; history\provinces\* ; and history\titles\* and change every instance of '7900.1.1' to '7880.1.1'.
Mod updated: -the Valyrian provinces/duchies/kingdoms are no longer all the same shade of red on the political map, should make them a little easier to tell apart. -I renamed 'The Port of Sighs' to 'Melior March' and made it culturally Mantaryan, since the redrawn province is closer to the latter from the 'prequel' submods -Made the canon names Aquos Dhaen, Rhyos, and Mhysa Faer the default names instead of just the 'ruin' names -Fixed Valyria being defined too late in geographical_region.txt, it's now properly part of Essos -Added missing tech seed values for the Port of Sighs duchy -Fixed an issue with the Isle of Lice (Basilisk Isles) becoming unoccupied (caused by importing bugged 'prequel' submod data)
Thanks for the update I am having a really weird game breaking bug with new version of the mod. I started a new game in the century of blood bookmark and saved the but when I reload the save file all of Westeros is blacked out there are no charectors and the screen goes strait to game over screen when I load up even when playing in Essos I tried with several different charectors and also tried vanillia without the century of blood submod and deactivate of my other submods and I still get the bug no matter what. It did matter if I saved day 1 or a year into the game it always was the same when loading the save file.
I didn’t try it on an old save file. I started a new game today with the updated mod and that’s were I had the bug I started several games in the regular mod and century of blood with different characters and it was the same thing everytime. Westeros was a uninhabited and I got a game over screen when I loaded a save. I tried starting several a new games with different charectors and each one was the same when I saved and then reloaded the game. I haven’t even tried it on the game I was playing before u updated the mod current game.
