Compatible with AGOT version 1.9.1 or 2.0
Last update: 2019-08-26
Features This mod will turn the Valyrian lands into ruins that you can colonize. It splits up the land in two kingdoms and several provinces, most of which can be colonized. The terrain of Valyria has also been made green. The kingdom of Valyria is an island nation: there is no land route to Essos. The Lands of the Long Summer are still connected to Essos.. Special events: - the Smoking Sea effects (silly events) now also apply to the two straits surrounding Valyria
- you have a small chance to find a Dragon Egg
you may get greyscale- you may find old treasures
- you may encounter a Firewyrm
- More coming
2.0 Changes
- No more Mantarys effect (deformed courtiers)
- Restored pathing to Lands of the Long Summer from Essos
- Improved terrain and province layout - no more glowing red doom, instead volcanoes
- Returned to 40+ provinces total for a more dynamic duchy/kingdom layout
- Dynamically restored holy sites for the Valyrian religions
- Renumbered the new sea, river, lake provinces on the unused spots in vanilla, since AGOT 2.0 still doesn't use them either -- this should make it easier to keep compatible with other map mods
1.9.1 Changes
- Far fewer provinces: the old version had 43 provinces, this one has 20
- Added some holding slots to provinces (based on removed province names)
- Revised duchy setup
- No more unusable provinces in the sea, except for one island
- Blocked some sea traffic through the straits
- Mantarys effect was removed, I will replace this in the future with something more lore consistent

Download for AGOT 1.9.1
Click on the DOWNLOAD button on the top right to download, then unzip in your Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod
Addon The download includes a basic trade route for Valyria, if you want a more improved one download the compatible variant of my Trade Routes mod: Trade Routes Revised.
Images 2.0
Compatibility: Not compatible with any other mod that changes the map or landed titles. IS compatible with Century of Blood! The map has not changed from the old version except for the provinces, so any terrain etc. mod that was already compatible will still be.
Enable both Holdings+ and this variant of the mod. All credit to the AGOT team for the official sub mods, especially the Valyrian Freehold. Special thanks to Almaron for help.

How could I change the Smoking Sea effects (silly events) so that instead of turning into a cat, I got greyscale? Thanks. Great job, the previous mod felt very heavy to colonize so much.

It's the main mod event so basically, if you don't want it, you need to turn off the Silly Events game rule.

The stuff you just quoted, for one. So mostly just added in events? I preferred the old one because it had more provinces but I'm willing to switch over if events are the difference, lol.

Well, I like this version with fewer provinces much more, but Melior march, Jaedos, Yghos and Daervos are not ruins, but fully inhabited provinces with Essosi valyrian rulers, is it bug or intended? Also, does this version include Mantarys-like deformities while inhabiting not-fully colonized provinces? That was fun feature.

I quickly ninja fixed it when I noticed I had forgot to renumber some stuff but I guess you picked it up before that!
The Mantarys effect is gone, instead there's now a few effects modelled after the Sothoryos events. Greyscale breaking out, Fyrewyrm attacks, or treasure found. I am going to try to script other stuff as well.

Empire of New Valyria de jure titles is bugged. Titles such as Asshai and Leng are showing up as de jure New Valyria. Issue seems to stem from missing brackets in essos_titles.

I can't see that in my game, serdinadan. Please redownload. If the error re-occurs, make sure you're not using other mods that change essos_titles.
---
Updated the mod, I added some more pre-scripted holding slots to the normal version and renamed the Holdings+ version to "AGOT H+ & Colonizable Valyria Revised" so it can be recognised easier in the launcher.

20 provinces seems like a really few number. The Lands of the long Summer should really have a few more provinces.
Or do the main counties of the duchies have more holdings?

20 is quite a bit, it's similar in density to other parts of Essos now. The old version was overkill.
