SPOILER ALERT: Spoilers for AFFC onwards
This is a mod for those who believe that Young Griff is not in fact Aegon the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Elia Martell but instead a descendant Daemon Blackfyre through the line of his son Maelys Blackfyre who was killed by Barristan Selmy. This is theorised as the Golden Company has fought against the Targaryens for years as they were founded by Aegor Bittersteel to put the Blackfyres on the Iron Throne after the first Blackfyre Rebellion failed. There are also other theories for who exactly Young Griff's parents are, the other two included in this mod is that Young Griff is the son of Illyrio Mopatis and his wife Serra who is actually a Blackfyre from the line of Maelys Blackfyre. The other is the "Brightfyre" theory that Young Griff is the son of Illyrio Mopatis who is actually a Blackfyre from the line of Maelys Blackfyre and his wife Serra who is actually a Targaryen descendnt of Aerion Brightflame along with her brother Varys. There is a game rule to select which of the three theories you want to happen as well as a fourth option to disable the submod from happening in that game. This mod adds an extra event that triggers after Aegon wins the Iron Throne and the Golden Company disbands in which the leader of the Golden Company may reveal to him the truth of his lineage. If you wish to use parts of this submod in any of your own mods ask me for permission and I'll decide (probably a no). Download Link

I remember people trying and failing to get it working with 1.5 on the previous forum. I don't think it is compatible.

How much/what specifically needed to be changed to update it?

Not all that much, the invasion events file was mostly just changed to the current AGOT one, with the call to the new inheritance event added in option A of invasions.104.
I did fix a bug in young_griff_blackfyre.txt (line 23 missed two closing brackets) and added a small action to restore the real (dead) Aegon Targaryen to the family tree once invader Aegon is revealed a Blackfyre or Targaryen through another line.

So how do we make it work if its that simple. Can we have a detailed list on how to make it work?

I just told you. Use the main agot mod invasion event file, copy the call to the new event in it. In the new event file, add the missing closing brackets. Profit. You'll only not have the family tree restoration of the dead Aegon but that's aesthetic only anyway.

Grab Notepad++ and its Compare plugin or WinMerge or something similar and merging event files is pretty easy.
Erbkaiser if you could post or PM me just the new small event you wrote at some point so I could add it myself that'd be great (if it's allowed? not sure)

Thanks for this, got the event up and running One thing you forgot to mention though is in the invasions event to also modify the part involving getting the sword blackfyre, need to add a condition there for aegon's new dynasty

How would I figure out the entry point into this event? It looks like this is called from invasions.102 which at this point invasions.104 will not have been called, and Aegon's dynasty will not have changed. I'm probably missing something because this is saying you have a 35% chance of getting Blackfyre which doesn't make much sense to me. Also, which dynasties should we add there? I'm guessing 57 and 59.
