I am trying to look around for an answer but haven't found one yet. Is there a way to use Tubbs' valyrian portraits instead of CO? It is frustrating that everyone has the new portraits but the Valyrians.

I installed that and the Valyrians just look like they normally do, not with the Tubbs portraits.
Also, side bar: do i need both the Tubbs 2.2 and the Tubbs 2.2 Frankish files?

Try opening the portraits_valyrian.gfx file from Congenital Overhaul\interface\portraits, if there is one. Also no you don't need both, the Frankish version uses the Frankish faces as the base for Andal and First Man cultures instead of the english faces.

It seems that only the asshai portraits are having this issue at the moment. The link is to a sceenshot of the issue.

Excellent work with these portraits! I'm glad to finally be able to take advantage of owning all the DLC portraits.

Tried downloading the alternate frankish version, but the .rar is corrupted, so I can't extract it after downloading

It's done using Portrait Builder, which can be found here: ck2.paradoxwikis.com/Portrait_Builder. Enable the DLC and mods you use, select the relevant portrait gfx, customise it to your liking. Then take the DNA and portrait values it spits out at you, open your save file (or history files if you want the changes to persist across games) find the character you've customised and copy their new DNA & portrait values in. Okay, I've got Portrait Builder up... Do I need to have a save file in game because I can't find Dany or the Targaeryan from Portraits.... Not even in the History folder.

Firstly, I strongly recommend using Notepad++ if you aren't already, as it will 20 times harder to find what you're looking for with just Notepad. If you go to mod\A Game of Thrones\history\characters and open crownlands.txt, you can find Daenerys, simply by searching for her name with Ctrl + F. Once, you find her entry in the history file, a few lines down will be her DNA and properties entries. I did forget to mention before that if you want to edit the DNA/properties of a character in a save file, you'll need to make sure you disable compression when you make the save or else it'll just contain meaningless nothingness.

If you compress your saves they are .zip compressed. Open the .ck2 file with your zip client (I use 7-Zip) and extract the autosave.ck2 inside it, that is the plaintext uncompressed one. Close the zipper and overwrite it with the file you extracted and edit it to your liking.

Hi great mod!!, but I have a question xd. How can I change the armor that the characters wear? I mean, I want all the high valyrians to wear the same armor that the Targaryen wear, because I want to play with the house Velaryon, but I do not like the armor that they wear when they command troops. So I want to change the armor to all the High Valyrians :s

In a similar vein I don't suppose anyone knows where the portrait layers that give all Ironborn that spear is - I've looked all through the gfx/character folder but can't find it - I want to do something about Ser Harras Harlaw (wielder of Nightfall) always wondering around with a spear

The spears come from the Baltic warrior lodge clothing that's used by the Old Way lodge for Ironborn. I haven't actually touched any of the clothing or anything, but if you wanted to get rid of the spears, you can go to your game's install folder (steam\steamapps\common\Crusader Kings II), go into the 'dlc' folder and open 'dlc074.zip'. Inside that .zip go to gfx\characters\societies and extract 'wl_baltic_male_clothes_infront.dds' and 'wl_baltic_female_clothes_infront.dds'. If you then open Better Faces, go to gfx\characters and create a new folder called 'societies' copy those two files in there, then open them up and delete the images, so that it's just a blank image. Harras Harlaw should no longer wander around with a spear.

I'm sorry about this but now I can't import because the properties seem to be invalid... I'm going to try grabbing the DNA and Properties from a Save file rather than from the History file.
