Just thought I'd share this mod that I created with y'all. I hope some of you get some enjoyment out of it! It makes you armies and navies move twice as fast. It's a pretty stable mod and should work with most other submods, since it only changes movement speed. If you have any questions, or any comments, make sure to leave them below! And if you're experiencing any problems with the mod let me know!

Do you think it's more lore accurate? At least in the show armies move a lot faster than they do in-game.

Thats probably more lazy writing on the show's part - take the Battle of the Bastards for example, the Vale army basically just appears when in the books the distance it would travel is huge - in GoT the royal party took several weeks to get to Kings Landing from Winterfell which is roughly the same distance and it was a lot smaller than an army - probably only a few dozen people well supplied with wheelhouses and mounts. Similarly the Lannister force sacking Highgarden - the same journey was literally taking Renly weeks (sure he was feasting and hosting tourneys but it looks like it still probably takes at least 2-3 weeks to march a force from Highgarden to KL), Stannis' march from the Wall to WInterfell is taking several weeks - enough for him to run out of food etc. Even getting from the Inn at the Crossroads to the Eyrie which is one of the shorter journeys I can think of distance wise still took Catelyn several days with a small party that wasn't having to deal with baggage chains, logistics, scouting parties, making camp etc etc

don't even get me started on how fast Gendry got to the wall, a raven from the wall to Dragonstone, and Daenerys flew to Hardhome... serious lazy writing. The books better be better than this

Haha fair enough - as a jaded former show fan who gave up towards the end of season 3 I will stand by the fact it still doesn't make sense though - either they came by land and admittedly they are on the right side of the trident not to have to pass via the twins but there is the small matter of most cailin, in practical terms the most defensible castle in westeros, and the vast journey from most Caitlin to winterfell where any number of northern lords and maester would have noticed several thousand valemen walking past in a hurry and it would have only taken one to send a raven to the boltons and the element of surprise would be gone in an instant. Other option is that they sail from gulltown to the white harbour and maybe up the white knife. This is far more likely but they don't know about the Manderly fleet (which may not yet even be big enough to carry a decent army) and the vale fleet doesn't ever seem to have been on the level of the Lannister, redwynes velaryon or iron fleets (or else it would have been mentioned) so where did they get the ships? I'm assuming in the books somehow lord manderly knows about Sansa and sends his ships to gulltown and some merchant vessels also get requisitioned, but the show simply doesn't address how you sneak an army into a region that is generally agreed to be univadable and even if you do get an army there it's so damn big it's basically the westeros equivalent of Russia lol.
