Ever looked past the pain from your scurvy for a moment and taken a long look at those fancy republics and thought
"Why can they raid as they please fer slaves when traditionally we be th' ones who do th' raidin'?
Why be our chance o' obtainin' slaves t' brin' back 'ome a random affair?"
Okay probably not. But I bet you have wondered as to why Pirates who actually plunder have to work with
RNG whereas the merchant republics have a surefire cb. Well worry no more!
What it do?: Allows pirates, lady of the waves, and corsair characters to have access to the "slave raid" cb. It does so by simply hitching a ride with the patricians. Non intrusively, semi-lore friendly.
To use it in game: Be a pirate, enter the slave trade through the decisions tab, declare a slave raid on whomsoever you please (can't slave raid your own peeps, that's too filthy ya bilge-rat).
Why did you do that? Well I could just say see above^, but other than the "realistic" logic behind it, I always felt bad starting up as a pirate. Sure you can raid and maybe rngjesus will bless you and you'll get those sweet slaves which will fetch some nice coin. But more often than not, I had always been frustrated that even with slavery completely legal in a corsair/pirate kingdom you still cannot slave raid. Whereas these flippin mercantile Venetian would be's automatically get to slave raid wherever they want AND THEY DON'T EVEN NEED IT BECAUSE THEY HAVE 15K TROOPS AND HECKA BOATS C'MON WE PIRATES R FIENDIN FOR SOME CASH. *cough* I mean i'm completely not biased at all whatsoever.
Special thanks to blackninja, I saw his really cool mods he made back in the day and I really enjoyed em. Shout-out to sinstar, dedicated, and makes a heckton of mods (Vox Populi). Appreciative acknowledgement to Knuckey, I noticed how helpful you really are to all of us, despite all of the work you already put into this game mad props to you my dude. To whomever made the slave raid cb for the patricians, and the enter the slave trade decision I humbly thank you for your efforts. That being said your code has been commandeered by a buccaneer, it's been shanghaied to my side, it's impressment serves as my reinvestment. Massive gratitude to Reddit user _Roach, without him I would have never had the idea of the possibility to make this come true.
Semi-thoroughly tested, should probably last for more than this patch (hard probably), simple light edit (almost broke my entire spirit, I have no idea how to mod things and I spent a better part of a day breaking more things than I care to admit, and then having to reinstall the entire game because I never made backups. I know this is child's play to other people but I am pretty inept at this so don't be too hard on me.)
