So I have some experience in modding for this game, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to change a county to a military command instead of the traditional feudal.
My brother and I are playing a multiplayer game and we're trying to add in one military command county in each region of Westeros that doesn't have one, but when I go in the title files and change the history to match something like what the bloody gate or moat cailin have, the game starts that province as a feudal lord still, but independent from their region. I've checked the province file for the respective area and the government files in the common folder to make sure I didn't miss anything there that I needed to change, and I see nothing.
This is the code I used for the Freylands

He wants me to also try doing this for merchant republics, putting one within the primary ports of Westeros (White Harbor, Arbor, Lannisport, etc) to make those regions more prosperous and in turn helping their overall region, but that code looks way too complicated for me to do the same thing with.
Any help anybody can provide is much appreciated.

It works for me using this code, which is literally just copied straight from Moat Cailin with only the name of the liege being changed.

Yeah, it worked once I reinstalled the mod itself and made the edit. Not sure what was causing the issue elsewhere. Any advice on creating a merchant republic in the game? I tried looking at certain merchant republics but the coding looks like I'l have to edit multiple area to add in a single republic.
