So I subscribed on the steam workshop then when I try to tick the box for the mod it doesn't respond to it while other mods do.

Same here. Subscribed in Steam and it appears in the Launcher under Mods but I can't tick it. I don't have any other mods downloaded and only have two DLC, Way of Life and South Indian Portraits one.

It's possible the Steam download messed up. Try downloading the zip file instead and unzip manually -- and make sure you unsubscribe from the AGOT mod on Steam first.
